Painting
Students have learnt about colour mixing and creating tints and shades. They did landscape paintings, watercolour studies and colourful still lifes.
DRAWING
Students have worked with a variety of drawing mediums from pencil and charcoal to ink and watercolour. Please take a look at some their detailed and imaginative drawings.
INTERPRETING AN ARTWORK
Photography
In year 9 photography students’ have developed an understanding of how certain art elements and principles relate to different photographs, discussing the aesthetic qualities portrayed within photographs. They have used Adobe photoshop to develop kooky purple people eater digital collages, and have used cameras to seek out letters formed by objects in the environment, while monitoring and becoming familiar with camera settings such as aperture, shutter speed and iso.
